Prospective Students

Undergraduate Research: We are generally on the lookout for motivated, bright, and enthusiastic undergraduate students to complete research with the group. Our undergraduate research projects focus on power electronics in applications such as transportation electrification, renewable energy, data center power delivery, or emerging applications. Undergraduates typically pursue research through guided ECE 397 Independent Study or through paid hourly work. Ideal undergraduate researchers have taken or are on track to take ECE 464: Power Electronics in the Fall semester of their junior year. Interested? Reach out to Dr. Stillwell via email and include your resume.

Graduate Research: The Stillwell Power Group is constantly on the lookout for talented and motivated graduate researchers. To be considered for research positions, students must apply to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Illinois. After applications are received, faculty typically review materials in late December and I reach out to students in January/February for further interviews.
